Literally. Raf Simon’s Fall/Winter 2014-2015 haute couture collection for Dior is filled with silhouettes inspired by court fashion of yore (think voluminous skirts with side hoops).
It’s interesting to see how he interpreted 18th century style to fit with today’s context. Fresh and unique!
These shoes and accessories from Valentino Spring 2013 ready-to-wear collection made me switch from my bulky, masculine riding boot hunting mode to lover of the feminine lightness of all things transparent and sparkly — strappy high heels with studs, peep-toe slingback heels and wedges. Perfect footwear to showcase fun, neon colors on your toes and would look equally good with bright red nails or a subdued French manicure.
Ooh, and this totally see-through boxy clutch (so impractical but still love it) and bangles!
Also from the same runway show, a couple of creamy pastel accessories. This pretty clutch + bangle combo in a pale jadite green looks good enough to eat. Yum!
What’s pretty, pink with bows all over? Valentino Haute Couture Fall 2010/2011 collection. A lot of adorable details in this collection!
A short and sweet suit in dusty pink. Mmmm…
I’m totally love this black and white outfit and oooh, the half gloves with large bows on them — so lovely!
A lovely strapless gown that is neither pink nor adorned with bows. :)
