A weirdly beautiful creation by Russian fashion designer Yegor Zaitsev. A bit of a Gareth Pugh or Guo Pei vibe, don’t you think?
Chinese opera theatrics gone Avant Garde is one way to describe Guo Pei’s collection. The fashion designer from China presents an interesting mix of colors, textures and silhouettes resulting in a slightly weird but wonderfully beautiful collection.

Some has seen a parallel to Alexander McQueen. It is in the shoes?

I suppose, if your name is Lady Gaga, you’d be inclined to wear one of these sky high clogs of art medieval torture device.

So, are you ready for Guo Pei?

Update: Found more pictures from her Rose Studio collection. Lampshade + gift ribbon = cute dress. Whodathunkit?

A structured gold dress fit for Queen. Queen Nefertiti, that is.

A wedding dress for a modern day Victorian Princess.

More fantastical creations here (in Chinese).
Can’t stop staring at this weirdly beautiful killer heels from Alexander McQueen’s Spring/Summer 2010 evolution-themed collection titled “Plato’s Atlantis” on Paris Fashion Week. Such an interesting shape.

Must be a back-breaking job for the models strutting on the catwalk in a pair of lobster claw shoes. If you ignore the heels, the shoes actually look like a pair of ballet slippers en pointe, but they can also look a bit like hooves. Very intriguing don’t you think?
