These pink shoes from Liz Lisa are so cute! Mary jane with chunky platform heels, ankle-strap wedges with pretty bows, heart-shaped cutouts and embroidery — I adore them all! But I don’t have the wardrobe to match the pretty, frilly pinkness of it all.

But this one! Surely I can make room for this? Camel suede booties with grosgrain ribbon laces (also in brown and pink).

These shoes and accessories from Valentino Spring 2013 ready-to-wear collection made me switch from my bulky, masculine riding boot hunting mode to lover of the feminine lightness of all things transparent and sparkly — strappy high heels with studs, peep-toe slingback heels and wedges. Perfect footwear to showcase fun, neon colors on your toes and would look equally good with bright red nails or a subdued French manicure.

Ooh, and this totally see-through boxy clutch (so impractical but still love it) and bangles!

Also from the same runway show, a couple of creamy pastel accessories. This pretty clutch + bangle combo in a pale jadite green looks good enough to eat. Yum!

Knee-high riding boots are my current obsession now. I have two plain ones in black and tan, both worn to death. They are my three-season boots — with shorts and dresses with knee-high stockings in the spring or fall and with thicker socks + jeans or high denier tights or leggings for cooler winter climates.
I have been looking for something with a little bit more flair (read: fancier buckles). Leather riding boots from Amazon Boot Shop, top from left to right: Enzo Angiolini Visco women’s leather riding boot (in Cognac)
, Vince Camuto Flavian leather boot
(in Dark Wood/Black with gold hardware) and ECCO Hobart buckle boot
(in black, also in Mink or Cognac).
Faux leather boots from Yesstyle, left to right: yeswalker over-the-knee riding boot, Pufii faux leather buckle knee-high boots.
