
This dinnerware project designed by CltrlZak multidisciplinary collective reflects on the historical production of Chinese and European Bone China.
Produced in Tangshan, refined by hand, creating new hyrpids that juxtapose scenes themes interpretated in the respective cultural imaginary.
At first look, you might have wonder these uniquely looking dinnerware looks like breaking each european style porcelain plate and an oriental style plate perfectly into halves and sticking them together. Well, not exactly.
It is actually done graphically with each halves consisting of porceline paintings from two distinctly cultures, typically an european style and a chinese style on each half. CltrlZak, a multidisciplinary collective who created them called it the Hybrid, a collection of Bone China tableware designed for italian company SELETTI. Every piece of these Hybrid tableware is created using traditional methods and refined by hand in the city of Tangshan, China also popularly known as the “capital of Bone China”.
An interesting piece of art which fuses both the east and west is definitely worth a collector’s item.
Hybrid is a collection of Bone China tableware designed by CltrlZak, a multidisciplinary collective, for Italian company Seletti. These unique dinner plates are made of contrasting halves of European and Oriental style porcelain plate designs.

Each piece of Hybrid tableware is created using traditional methods and refined by hand in the city of Tangshan, China also popularly known as the “capital of Bone China”.

The Hybrid collection includes dinner plates, soup plates, salad bowls and coffee cups.
