Can you resist the nostalgic country charm of Cath Kidston’s creations? I feel like a picnic in the countryside right now.

Here’s another Mother’s Day idea - You can’t go wrong with chocolates right? Especially when they come in such beautiful forms like these high-heel shoes and daisy suckers from Gayle’s Chocolates. I really love the brown and pink polka dot shoes. Kinda reminds me of the pink Jessica Simpson or black Naughty Monkey printed pumps from Victoria’s Secret, don’t you think so?

Q-pot Baby is a newish kid’s line from Japanese food-themed accessory makers Q-pot which debuted in November 2007. It includes the same weirdly cute dessert-inspired accessories from the main line with the addition of quirky chocolate and biscuit print clothing in a gorgeous palette of dusky pinks and deep browns. Yummy!

Continuing the theme for Mother’s Day, I love the tastefully-designed, classic fragrance collection from Penhaligons London, suitable for the classy ladies in your life. Prices are a bit steep, starting from £12.00 for the 100ml Bluebell talcum powder, but the collection looks oh-so-sweet and romantic and I’m such a sucker for lovely packaging.

A gift-box of these red, pink and orange hand-decorated butter cookies that say “I Love Mom” is a sweet way to convey your love for Mummy dearest. Not into mushy words? Then this large pink purse bag, complete with handles, gold accents and zipper “created by a pastry chef who worked at some of the most famous pastry shops in Paris” looks like an instant hit.
I Love Mom cookies, $42, by Eleni’s for Dean & Deluca and Sweet Couture cake, $160, exclusively from Dean & Deluca.

Gorgeous chocolates in a beautiful box, a perfect gift for Mother’s Day. Aurora Box by MarieBelle Fine Chocolates, New York.
Scouting for a couple of things for my utility area.
I know their stuff are cheap but I nearly fell off my (Ikea) chair when I noticed the prices — $0?
This morning, I decided that my life would be more complete if I had a Rubik’s cube. Not just any cube (I have two standard issue rainbow coloured cubes), it has to be a pastel one(j). Failing which, I’d settle for a platinum Bedlam cube (UK).

I like the fact that the drip tray of this dish rack from Simplehuman has a pivoting spout that drains water collecting below the rack. Oh, the matte steel with fingerprint-proof coating is sexy too.

Beautifully detailed creations to rival Re-Ment. Above, from Kimie Okumura. Below, Blog Noir, an amazing blog dedicated to clay miniatures. Wow.. just wow!
